I’ve just learned that the FIA has released its provisional event calendar for the 2015 World Rallycross RX championship and that GP3R (Trois-Rivières, Québec) is once again included. If nothing changes, it should be round #6 of the series, and run on August 7th or 8th 2015.
I am personally not sure if we will be returning. The 2014 event was somewhat interesting but not quite worth the expense in my opinion even if I do live only 70 kms (45 miles) away. Including everything (tickets, gas, food, etc), it has cost me a bit over $300 for me and my fiancée to attend. One thing is for sure, if the track remains the same I will not be returning; the layout was very simple and not technical at all. I was also disappointed of the poor interest shown by my readers towards the event itself and my report. Otherwise, I guess that I could reconsider returning depending on many factors. Are any of you guys the slightest interested in attending next year’s running?
