GOING FULL TILT!
I rarely give myself flowers but I’m very happy of the fabrication I’ve done today!
So yeah, I turned this:
I’m missing 2 LED lights (back ordered). Oh and the job is not done. I still have to add aluminium sheeting to close the inside portion of the fenders and small chains to hold them…
Chains? Why chains? Oh, I dunno, maybe because they can do THIS:
Aye, I needed either removable or swivel fenders to be able to freely open car doors when loaded on the trailer. I did BOTH because why the heck not?
Here’s a closer look at the very simple system:
I used small latches that are normally used on airlift and/or suspension boxes on semis.
I must thank my fiancée to have made the “NO STEP” stickers with her digital label printer. You guys know that she doesn’t see well but she’s so good at stuff like this. It took her a few hours. Bless her. I love you hun!
CLOSING THE DEAL
I closed the fenders with sheeting like I talked about last time. I took the opportunity to use a strip of sheeting that I had laying about for years! Good riddance and a new walk of life for you!
Then I used a small chain to hold the fenders in place when titled:
